In Tennessee, USA, at least six people died as a result of tornadoes and intense storms.
Local emergency services reported tens of thousands of people were left without electricity, and many buildings were destroyed.
Three deaths were reported in a suburb north of the state capital, Nashville, and three others, two adults and a child, were killed in Clarksville, about 50 miles (80 km) northwest of Nashville.
