"The provision of additional aid to Ukraine by the US Congress is vital for the country," said Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
In an interview with CNN, he answered the question of what situation Ukraine and Israel will find themselves in if no decision is made by the end of 2023. "I think the only people who will be happy if this additional budget request is not voted on and approved by Congress are sitting in Moscow, Tehran, Beijing," he said.
Blinken noted that Ukrainians have made significant progress in repelling Russian aggression over the past year, but heavy fighting continues in the south and east and funding is running out.
