Ararat Mirzoyan had a telephone conversation with the Greek Foreign Minister

Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis spoke with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. Mr. Gerapetitis welcomed the Armenian-Azerbaijani joint declaration announcing the mutual release of prisoners and measures to strengthen trust between the two sides, stressing that Greece supports efforts to achieve sustainable peace in the South Caucasus region. The Greek Foreign Minister also spoke about the last meeting of the Turkish-Greek Peace and Cooperation Commission and the details of Recep Erdogan's visit.

In his turn, Mirzoyan welcomed the development of Greek-Turkish relations, noting that these relations would positively affect the South Caucasus region. Mirzoyan invited his Greek colleague to Yerevan. Mirzoyan and Gerapetritis will meet on Monday in Brussels and have a working breakfast.

The Greek Foreign Minister emphasized that Greece supports the humanitarian needs of the displaced population of Artsakh and the institutional dialogue between the EU and Armenia. It was noted that Greece will actively solve these problems while supporting continuous efforts to achieve stable peace in the region.
