"We need to support our partner in this difficult time." Miller on helping Ukraine
The US Secretary of State's spokesman, Matthew Miller, spoke about Ukraine's financing prospects.
"We have made it very clear at every level of this administration that Congress must act to provide security assistance to Ukraine, to provide economic aid, not only to provide security assistance to Israel but also to provide humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people, which we do and want to continue to do."
According to him, it will be a harsh winter. "We have seen Russia launch attacks on critical Ukrainian infrastructure that they use so that people can heat their homes in the winter.
So, our position in this administration is to support our partner at this challenging time. We must continue supporting them in their fight against Russia, and we hope that the US Congress will also be there."
