The New York Times reported that during the attack on Israel on October 7, the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas launched a rocket attack on the Sdot Michah military base, located 42 km from Jerusalem, where Israeli nuclear weapons are allegedly stored.
Hans Christensen, director of the Nuclear Information Project at the Federation of American Scientists, said the site could host 25 to 50 Israeli Jericho nuclear weapons launch sites. However, the atomic weapon was most likely not damaged, although the missile strike started a fire in the nearby area.
