The Deputy Commander of the Finnish Border Guard Service, Jukka Lukkari, reported that the border checkpoints with the Russian Federation located southeast of Finland remain closed. Finnish authorities have installed double barriers.
He added that if any person from the Russian side approaches the border, the Finnish border guard service will "show them the way." Still, if they are in a vulnerable situation, the border guards are ready to fulfill their duty and care for them by transferring them to the Finnish side.
