Referring to sources, the Wall Street Journal reported that US and Israeli officials are discussing the idea of expelling thousands of Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip to shorten the duration of hostilities.
The idea is being considered as part of negotiations over who will lead the enclave when the conflict ends to avoid repeating the October 7 attack.
