NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg referred to the Ukrainian war and Russia's position. Referring to the situation on the ground, Stoltenberg emphasized the significant progress Ukraine achieved this year on land and in the Black Sea. At the same time, he said that Russia is losing political influence in its near abroad, has suffered more than 300,000 casualties, lost a significant part of its main forces, and is under economic pressure.
"Russia is now politically, militarily, and economically weaker... Year after year, Moscow pledges its future to Beijing," he said, concluding that "all this highlights Putin's strategic mistake in invading Ukraine."
