The message from the US State Department stated that the foreign ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Great Britain, and the United States, as well as European Union High Representative Borrell, have called for the unconditional release of Hamas hostages and to make it easier for foreigners to leave Gaza.
The G7 also says it supports further extensions of the ceasefire.
