US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken had a telephone conversation with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.
According to the State Department, Blinken welcomed the commitment of President Aliyev to conclude a lasting and dignified peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The State Secretary emphasized the advantages that peace will bring to the region.
The Secretary of State discussed "strong relations" with Azerbaijan, mentioned the latest problems in relations, and discussed the possibilities of strengthening cooperation, especially regarding the peace process and the importance of high-level interaction, the message said.
It's noteworthy that Blinken also spoke with RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
