Egypt, Qatar and the United States, as mediating countries in the negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian radical movement "Hamas", are close to an agreement to extend the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Reuters agency wrote about this, referring to the sources of the Egyptian security forces.
The parties are still discussing how long the release of Palestinian prisoners and the humanitarian ceasefire should be extended.
The American newspaper The Wall Street Journal, for its part, claims that the parties plan to extend the truce for another four days. Negotiations are currently underway for the release of at least 20 Israeli hostages, women and minors, in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons and more humanitarian aid to Gaza.
