The front line in Ukraine has remained essentially unchanged over the past year, while European allies have struggled with ammunition supplies, and the United States has shown political war fatigue.

As Bloomberg writes, the lack of military aid can force Ukraine to agree to peace negotiations from a weakened position. However, in the worst-case scenario, the occupation army can break through the defense of the armed forces of Ukraine, and then the Kremlin will have no reason to negotiate at all.
