Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesman said that talks between Israel and Hamas regarding the hostages are making positive progress, and an announcement will be made in the coming hours about the exact time the ceasefire will begin.
Qatari, Israeli, and Hamas officials announced separately yesterday that the deal would take effect this morning. At 10 a.m., Israel later announced that it would only happen on Friday morning due to apparent logistical delays. Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari said that Qatar was working with the two warring parties to ensure a quick start to the ceasefire.
