Italian archaeologists have reported that the ruins of Nero's imperial theater mentioned in ancient Roman texts, which were never found, have been found under the garden of a planned Four Seasons hotel, a short distance from the Vatican.
Since 2020, archaeologists have been excavating beneath the walled garden of Palazzo della Rovere. The building is built with Renaissance frescoes.
