Raisi expressed his support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan
The meeting of the presidents of Iran and Azerbaijan, Ebrahim Raisi and Ilham Aliyev, took place in Uzbekistan.
Raisi emphasized Iran's support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, including Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the President of Iran, the two countries are developing mutual ties despite "enemies and their failed conspiracies."
"Iran-Azerbaijan relations are beyond political and neighborly ties based on deep and inseparable ties. The two countries' officials are also determined to expand these relations in various fields further," he added.
Aliyev said that it is of crucial importance that the officials of the two countries are determined to deepen bilateral ties, adding that the attempts of some countries to create problems in Tehran-Baku relations have failed.
He also thanked Iran for supporting Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
