US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called the negotiations with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan compelling.
"We had long and effective negotiations, discussed the Gaza crisis, and took steps to de-escalate the conflict. You see the aid arriving in Gaza. We discussed what can be done to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East."
