Presidents of Kazakhstan and France, Kassim-Jomart Tokayev and Emmanuel Macron held a briefing.
Tokayev said that France is one of Kazakhstan's biggest trade partners. "In eight months of the current year, the volume of trade between our countries increased by 21% compared to the previous year and reached 2.7 billion dollars. France is also among our main foreign investors. In the last 15 years, approximately 18.7 billion dollars of investment was attracted from France to Kazakhstan.
Today, we implement important projects in the energy, nuclear, mining, chemical, engineering, construction, aerospace and pharmaceutical industries. This is evidenced by the successful operation of more than 170 French companies in the country, including Alstom, Total Energies, Orano, Vicat." the head of Kazakhstan elaborated.
