Egypt opens Rafah border crossing with Gaza

Qatar, in coordination with the United States, brokered a deal between Egypt, Israel, and Hamas to allow the transfer of foreign passport holders and some seriously wounded people from besieged Gaza. A source familiar with the deal told Reuters on Wednesday.

The agreement will allow the movement of foreign passport holders and some seriously injured people between Egypt and Gaza through the Rafah border crossing. However, there has yet to be a timetable for how long the Rafah crossing will remain open for evacuation.
