800,000 people have been evacuated from northern Gaza

At least 800,000 civilians have left the north of the Gaza Strip. Jonathan Conricus, press secretary of the Israel Defense Forces, gave this assessment.

On October 13, Israel informed the UN that 1.1 million Palestinians would be evacuated to the south of the Gaza Strip within 24 hours. The Israel Defense Forces explained their call by the fact that "Hamas" fighters were hiding in tunnels and civilian buildings under the houses of Gaza City.
