Google has turned off traffic data in Israel and Gaza

Google has turned off traffic data for its Maps and Waze apps in Israel and the Gaza Strip at the request of the Israeli army ahead of a possible ground invasion of Gaza. Bloomberg reports.

"As we've done in the past during conflict situations and in response to regional developments, we've temporarily disabled the ability to view real-time traffic conditions and congestion information out of concern for the safety of local communities," a Google spokesperson said.
