On the evening of Thursday, October 19, drones attacked the Ain al-Asad air base in western Iraq, where American troops are stationed, according to Reuters. The Iraqi military said that
missiles hit the drones, the area around the base was cordoned off, and search operations are underway.
There are no reports of casualties or material damage. According to the Iraqi police, another American military base near Baghdad was also hit by rockets.
