The US is discussing alternatives to a ground operation in Gaza with Israel

"Washington is discussing possible alternatives to Israel's ground military operation in the Gaza Strip with representatives of the Jewish state." US President Joe Biden announced this on Wednesday.
"We talked for a long time about what alternatives there are," he said, answering the question about the decrease in the probability of Israel's implementation of that operation. "Our military is talking with their military about what alternatives there are, but I won't go into that," added the American leader.
On his return from Israel, he talked to journalists on his plane. The White House press service published the transcript of Biden's speech.
