Russia, along with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and China, advocates establishing a regular negotiation process on security issues on the Korean Peninsula without preconditions, stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov.
"We, like our North Korean friends, are seriously concerned about the intensification of military activity here by the United States, Japan, and South Korea, as well as the movement of strategic infrastructure along Washington's lines, including nuclear aspects. We oppose this destructive and dangerous line. We emphasize the importance of ensuring de-escalation and the inadmissibility of increasing tension," Lavrov told reporters in Pyongyang.
