The special session of the European Parliament with the participation of Nikol Pashinyan has started, where the prime minister's speech is expected. In the opening speech, the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, spoke about Armenia-EU relations. Metsola, in particular, stated: "Europe will continue to support Armenia's efforts to host displaced people from Nagorno Karabakh. Within the EU Civil Protection Mechanism framework, many EU members have provided support in food, medical supplies, medicine, and other essential goods.
We reaffirm our support for the democratic reforms of Armenia, the strengthening of our bilateral relations, and international guarantees for Armenians to live in Nagorno-Karabakh. We continue to support the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations based on mutual recognition of sovereignty, recognition of the principles of indivisibility of borders and territorial integrity."
