Egypt's efforts are focused on releasing Palestinian prisoners, including women and children, in exchange for releasing women captured by Hamas during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
Egypt has yet to receive a final answer regarding the deal's approval. The deal is expected to include a temporary ceasefire until the exchange process is completed.
