Aliyev announced that "there are 8 villages under the control of Armenia, which must be liberated"

Azerbaijan did not participate in the meeting in Granada because of the well-known position of France. This was announced by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, during a telephone conversation with the head of the European Council, Charles Michel.

According to him, supplying arms to Armenia and France is an approach that serves new conflicts, not peace.

The President of Azerbaijan also emphasized that "the separatist regime forced the Armenians to leave Karabakh." He also noted the eight villages in the territory of the former Armenian SSR and called them "still occupied by Armenia, emphasizing the need for their liberation."

Aliyev added that work is underway to create a regional transport corridor between Azerbaijan and Iran.
