Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan and co-chairman of the State Commission for Economic, Commercial, and Humanitarian Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran, Shahin Mustafayev, told reporters.
According to Mustafaev, through the bridges built in the Zangelan region, a connection will be established with Nakhichevan through the territory of Iran. Mustafaev said that a mutual agreement was reached, and a project for the bridge was drawn.
In addition, rehabilitation works were carried out on the banks of the Araks River, and the river was returned to its former course. At the same time, it is planned to create an infrastructure of customs checkpoints.
