France will send 7 million euros and medical supplies to those displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh

The French Foreign Ministry stated that France strongly supports Armenia and the refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh, who were forced to leave their lands and homes by tens of thousands after the military attack and the nine-month illegal blockade by Azerbaijan, "Azerbaijan should restore unhindered humanitarian access, especially for Armenia and UN organizations, and immediately ensure full and unhindered access to humanitarian aid for the benefit of the affected population."

According to Catherine Colonna's decision, France will provide additional financial aid of 7 million euros for NGOs, UN agencies, and "Red Cross" activities in Armenia.

This financial assistance complements the 5.5 million euros already allocated by France through the International Committee of the Red Cross from the beginning of 2023, bringing the support provided to refugees and internally displaced persons in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh to 12.5 million euros.

The crisis and support center of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs will transport to Armenia the medical equipment and emergency supplies, 40 boxes of general and emergency medicine, about 9,000 sterile compresses, etc.

The French Embassy in Yerevan will assist the Armenian Ministry of Health. A Crisis and Support Center team will also visit Armenia to assess needs and deliver humanitarian aid to vulnerable populations.
