Germany has blocked the sale of fighter jets to Saudi Arabia

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak convinces German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to permit the supply of Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. This is reported by The Daily Telegraph newspaper, referring to sources.

The agreement to supply 48 Eurofighter Typhoon multipurpose fighters to Saudi Arabia was reached in 2018. However, after the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Consulate General of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul in October 2018, the deal was stopped. Aircraft export requires permission from all four producing countries: Great Britain, Spain, Italy, and Germany.
