"We are receiving positive impulses from Iran regarding the medium." Erdogan

On the way back from Nakhijevan, Turkish President Recep Erdogan spoke to journalists about the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, discussing the realities of the "Zangezuri Corridor" and regional peace.

"We do not see any problem that cannot be solved if Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, sovereignty, and neighborhood law are respected. Achieving progress in the Azerbaijani-Armenian process will also significantly boost the regional settlement.

Establishing direct land and rail connections with Nakhichevan and other regions of Azerbaijan will strengthen our relations. Thanks to this vital connection, we will shortly cover more distance by running than by walking. That is why we will open this corridor as soon as possible. The realization of this corridor, which is very important for Turkey and Azerbaijan, is a strategic issue and must be completed.

When this corridor is opened, a car or train leaving Baku can reach Kars directly. The Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood will become much more substantial. If Armenia does not participate, how will the route go? Through Iran. Iran is optimistic about it, so it is possible to create a way to Azerbaijan through the territory of Iran. It is good to see positive signals from Iran in this matter."
