The UN will assist people displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh and settled in Armenia

The representative of the UN Secretary, Stepan Duzharik, said that the UN is ready to carry out a humanitarian needs assessment and support forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh.

"We are carefully and with great concern following the mass movement of people to Armenia.

If the UN is granted access, we will be ready to conduct a humanitarian needs assessment and assist those affected.

We have representatives both in Armenia and Azerbaijan. They are ready to support any relief effort if given such an opportunity," he said.
