The former Prosecutor General of Georgia has come under American sanctions

The USA imposed sanctions on the former Prosecutor General of Georgia, Otar Partskhaladze. The Associated Press wrote about the sanctions and called Partskhaladze a "Georgian-Russian oligarch." As stated on the American Ministry of Finance website, Partskhaladze has Russian citizenship.

The US State Department additionally notes that the sanctions against Partskhaladze are related to strengthening Russian influence in Georgia.

"Partskhaladze regularly visits Russia, and the FSB, based on Russia's interests, uses him to influence Georgian society and politics." the report says.
