The European Union has accused Kosovo of obstructing the settlement of relations with Serbia. "It has been proven today that it is impossible to overcome differences," EU foreign and security policy chief Josep Borrell said after talks with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in Brussels on Thursday evening.
According to Borel, Kurti is still deciding whether to give the Kosovo Serbs greater autonomy, even though Pristina has promised to do so as part of the 10-year dialogue with Serbia, which takes place under the auspices of the EU. In his meeting with Vučić, Kurti demanded that Serbia recognize Kosovo's independence before granting greater autonomy to Kosovo Serbs.
