Concerning American politicians, the Wall Street Journal reported that the US authorities plan to redirect the military aid package worth 85 million dollars intended for Egypt to Taiwan and Lebanon.
The Biden administration has notified Congress that it will withhold $85 million in military aid to Egypt because Cairo failed to meet human rights standards. Of this amount, 55 million dollars will be allocated to Taiwan, and the remaining 30 million will be sent to Lebanon.
