Germany will raise defense spending to 2% of GDP

Germany is committed to NATO's goal of spending 2% of GDP on defense needs and will allocate 25-30 billion euros for this from 2028. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced this while speaking in the Bundestag.

He reminded that now Germany spends funds for defense from a special fund of 100 billion, which will ensure the realization of the 2 percent goal from next year.
