"Almost 70% of the peace agreement is ready." Hajiev

Advisor to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev, gave an extensive interview with "Arab News," referring to the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, the peace process, negotiations and the current situation.

Hajiyev, in particular, said:

"Azerbaijan wants to sign a peace treaty and turn the page of confrontation in the region. We want to live in peace. But the ball is in Armenia's court. The sooner they understand this reality, the better it will be for everyone.

We had made significant progress. Almost 70% of the document is ready and mostly agreed upon.

The signing of the peace treaty will completely change the landscape of the South Caucasus region. The Prime Minister of Armenia recognizes Azerbaijan's territorial integrity; however, he still keeps Armenian armed forces in our territory. He continues to finance the illegal regime operating in our region," Hajiyev stated.
