At the beginning of the war, Russia hit 20% of Ukraine's aviation facilities

In the first days of the large-scale invasion, the Russian occupiers failed to gain complete dominance in the skies, thanks to the preliminary preparation of the air force. Kirill Budanov, head of the central intelligence department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, stated this in an interview with the film "The Downed Pilots of Russia."

"They hit about 20% of the objects on their entire list. This prevented total air dominance. And the fact that they could not destroy most of the anti-aircraft defense systems canceled their superiority in the air," said Budanov.
