"The situation is not humanitarian at all, but political." MFA of Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan takes note of the statement of the US State Department regarding the situation in the region, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan stated in response to the idea of the US State Department.

The department once again assured that dozens of Armenian residents pass through the checkpoint in both directions of Lachin, that "the situation is not tense at all," and that the proposals of the Azerbaijani side regarding the meeting "are always rejected."

"The situation is not at all humanitarian, but more political in nature," the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan stated, asserting that they are determined to establish peace, security, and stability in the region based on respect for states' sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Earlier, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller called for the immediate reopening of the Lachin Corridor for humanitarian, commercial, and passenger traffic.
