NATO spokesperson Oana Lungescu has announced that she has transferred her powers to her former deputy, Dylan White, who will become the alliance's new spokesperson on Thursday. Lungescu wrote about this on the X social network (formerly Twitter).
Oana Lungescu, a Romanian by nationality who was a former BBC World Service correspondent in Brussels, was appointed NATO spokesperson in 2010 by the decision of former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen. She set a record in the press service of NATO, spending 13 years in that job.
