Referring to the document sent to Congress, Reuters writes that US President Joe Biden's administration will allocate $80 million to Taiwan to purchase weapons through the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program.
The announcement states that the allocated funds will strengthen Taiwan's self-defense capabilities and modernize its maritime security forces.
