The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China announced that Chinese President Xi Jinping invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make joint efforts to solve problems related to the border between the two states.
The meeting between Xi Jinping and Modi occurred on August 23 in Johannesburg, South Africa, during the BRICS summit. "We must proceed from the general situation of bilateral relations, properly solve the border problems, and maintain peace and tranquility in the area adjacent to the joint border," he emphasized.
