Argentina, Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia can become new members of the BRICS association (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).
The "Reuters" agency and the Geneva correspondent of the Brazilian UOL platform, Jamil Shad, reported this, citing the draft of the group's final document.
According to Reuters, a deal to expand the BRICS group was discussed for 11 hours at the leaders' meeting, promising to boost the bloc's ambitions to give the "Global South" more significant influence in world affairs.
