Norwegian Equinor may sell its Azerbaijani assets

Bloomberg reported that the Norwegian Equinor estimates the possibility of selling Azerbaijani assets at $1 billion, which includes 7.27% of the large Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli mine. 

According to the contract, the Norwegians must offer the Azerbaijani SOCAR the right of preference to buy their share. Equinor has been operating in Azerbaijan since 1992. The company is one of the largest foreign investors in the economy of Azerbaijan.
