Australia, the US and Japan will conduct military exercises

Australia, the United States, and Japan will conduct joint naval exercises in the South China Sea on August 23. The Kyodo agency reports this. The three countries will send large warships to the Philippines. The purpose of the exercise is to monitor Chinese ships.

The exercises will occur immediately after the large-scale Malabar exercise involving the armed forces of Australia, India, the United States, and Japan, ending on August 21.
