American intelligence believes that the Ukrainian troops will not reach the primary goal of the attack, Melitopol. The Washington Post, citing interlocutors familiar with the "secret forecast" of American intelligence, Ukrainian, American, and European officials.
According to US intelligence estimates, the Ukrainian attack will not be able to reach the city of Melitopol. Thus, if the prediction comes true, Ukraine will not fulfill the primary goal of the episode: to cut off Russia's land corridor with the occupied Crimea.
