The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan stated that discussions on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue were ongoing at the United Nations. According to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Armenia's attempts to use the UN Security Council for its campaign failed.
"Azerbaijan hopes that Armenia will understand that the solution to problems lies in constructive interaction, honest implementation of international legal norms and obligations."
"Discussions have once again shown that the international community has positively received Azerbaijan's proposal regarding the use of the Aghdam-Khankend road and that the obstacles created by Armenia must be decisively removed to ensure the legal and transparent delivery of goods to Karabakh, they said in their statement.
According to the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, they offered peace to Armenia based on mutual recognition and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries. "On the other hand, we implement the reintegration policy of the Armenian residents of the Nagorno-Karabakh region as equal citizens, ensuring all their rights and freedoms by the Constitution of Azerbaijan and all relevant international human rights mechanisms. We are determined to protect our sovereignty and territorial integrity by all legal means provided by the UN Charter and international law," they said.
