Kazakhstan will build 20 new checkpoints on the Russian border

Kazakhstan's authorities are building 20 border points on the border with Russia within the framework of the "Safe Country" national project. Serik Akhmetkaliev, the first deputy head of the profile department of the border service of the republic, announced this in a briefing.

It is planned to rebuild the automobile border checkpoints in the next two years. "The government has decided to rebuild 46 checkpoints along the border. The main checkpoints on the Kazakh-Russian border are subject to reconstruction," Akhmetkaliev said.
