"Azerbaijan wants to make the Aghdam-Askera road a starting point for integration." Hajiev
Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the President's Office, Hikmet Hajiyev, during the visit of foreign diplomats accredited in Azerbaijan to Aghdam, said in an interview with journalists:
"The road (Aghdam-Askera) will significantly reduce transportation costs, and in this way it will be possible to deliver everything that is needed to the Armenians living in Karabakh. They will also have the opportunity to use this road to send their products to the markets of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan's proposal is to make this road a starting point for the reintegration of Karabakh Armenians into the political, economic, and social life of Azerbaijan."
Hajiyev also stated that they are offered the Fizuli-Shushi road as another alternative for cargo transportation.
