Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak announced this on August 10. "There will be about 10,000 military personnel, 4,000 servicemen will directly participate in border protection, and 6,000 will be in reserve," explained the Minister of Defense.
He added that these would be soldiers improving their skills in the garrisons in the country's east.
Blaszczak also noted that Poland will have the most potent ground army in Europe within two years, provided the process of strengthening the troops continues.
Remember that Warsaw spoke about increasing the number of military personnel at the border after two Belarusian helicopters violated the country's airspace.
Poland also does not exclude the possibility of closing the Polish-Belarusian border due to the presence of "Wagner" mercenaries in Belarus.
