"The 50,000 tons offered by Russia is incomparable to the 20 million tons exported under the agreement." Blinken

"The supply of grain offered by Russia to African countries will not change the situation on the market and will not solve the problem of price growth," said US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

"Apparently, Russia expressed the idea of supplying 5-6 countries with 50,000 tons of grain. What Russia offers is a drop in the ocean. This will not solve the problem and will not stop the price increase. It will not change the fact that millions of tons of grain have been removed from the market and become inaccessible to those in need, especially in developing countries," said Blinken in an interview with the French radio station.

According to the Secretary of State, 20 million tons of grain were exported to developing countries within the framework of the Black Sea grain initiative.

"The 50,000 tons offered by Russia is incomparable to the 20 million tons exported under the agreement," said the Secretary of State.

Last week, during a consultation with the government, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia is not an opponent of the "grain deal" and is ready to return to it when all the main conditions set by the Russian side are met.
